Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind. Everyone has already experienced hypnosis, by accident or by design.

When you work with a hypnotist, you are simply creating this mental state at a particular time for a particular reason.
No! Hypnosis is a consensual state. If a suggestion is made by a hypnotist against the client’s beliefs, the client will immediately emerge from hypnosis. You are always in control.
The hypnotic state is an optimum state for making changes in your life. You can set aside limiting beliefs that may have been preventing you from moving toward a more healthy, happy you.
Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxation and focused concentration. Hypnosis feels a lot like daydreaming, or simply relaxing for a few minutes in your favorite chair after a busy day at work.
It depends on what you want to work on, how motivated you are to change, and the reason behind what you do or don’t do.
For simple bad habits (nail biting, smoking, overeating, etc.) it will take less time. Problems that have deep emotional roots may take 5 sessions or so.
It really depends on the individual person and their problem.

They are acutally the same thing since the state of mind is self-induced even when working with a hypnotist. The difference is that self-hypnosis is self-managed and guided, while the other is guided by the hynotist.
